Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Supply Chain and Logistician students. Classes run from June 6, 2022 - September 30, 2022. 30-35 hours weekly.
The instruction is developed by the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA).
Instructor will create learning environment conducive to classroom instruction to maximize student learning, knowledge retention, and feedback to ensure the Veteran Affairs workforce is prepared and capable of job/mission accomplishment.
Instructor shall teach assigned material, oversee examinations, evaluate/review examination results with students, and ensure students absorb and can apply lessons learned and class material can be applied to the student’s job duties.
The Instructor must have at least one of the following certifications:
· American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS),
· Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, or
· Other nationally/globally recognized certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Medical Logistics approved by the government.
The Instructor must have twelve years of experience in the Supply Chain Management or Logistics field of which a total of three years as a trainer/instructor is in the Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
The Instructor must provide written feedback on each course delivered identifying any issues with the course materials (defects, areas for improvement, etc.), the facilities or virtual classroom, student conduct and any actions taken within 5 business days of course end.
The Instructor must include coaching for each course taught. The purpose of coaching shall be to provide additional individualized instruction on Supply Chain Management School (SCMS) specific issues during the training program. The Instructor must make available additional consulting /coaching to assist students who: 1) Fail an end of- course examination; 2) Require additional assistance in their comprehension of the courseware content in preparation for a second examination; and 3) Pose a need for additional questions or concerns pertaining to the training received.
LOE is approx. 7 working hours per day including prep time.
Classes run 5 days; 35 working hours during a class delivery week.
All classes remote, curriculum is provided.
