BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for directing, motivating and maintaining a dedicated and professional sales and/or account management teams for a division. This position works across the organization with Actuary and Medical Management. The position is accountable for the team meeting or exceeding established retention, cross selling and profitability goals and for servicing of accounts and assisting in the development of short and long-term strategies. In addition, the incumbent will play a role in VP level decisions and long-term succession planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree OR 4 years experience in managed care account management/sales.
  • Current, valid State Agent Insurance License.10 years in managed care account management/sales/servicing experience.6 years of management experience in health care operations.
  • Skills to direct executive business personnel and direct the attainment of business objectives.
  • Knowledge of marketing and account management techniques.
  • Sales/marketing strategy development experience.
  • Knowledge of managed care products, processes, and trends.
  • Mentoring and leadership skills.Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
  • Financial acumen.Verbal and written communications skills, including business writing, building customer and broker relationships, developing and facilitating presentations.
