Job description

As a Quality Assurance Associate, you are responsible for performing quality assurance checks on bug fixes and system enhancements that are assigned to you by your Manager, meeting assigned deadlines. You will also try to duplicate known bugs and document the steps for duplication. You must also be able to interpret and understand both written and verbal instructions, as well as communicate your findings clearly, both orally and in writing. You should be analytical, detail oriented, and able to function independently with minimal oversight. This role will work 100% remote. The employee must sit in Arizona, Texas, Utah, Idaho or Florida but will be working remotely on Arizona Hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance checks on bug fixes and system enhancements that are assigned to you by your Manager, meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Try to duplicate known bugs and document the steps for duplication.
  • Clearly document all QA testing performed and any issues discovered.
  • Go beyond the obvious and think out of the box to identify as many issues prior to release as possible.
  • Continuously strive to learn and improve so that any issues missed (bugs that come out of a release) are less likely to occur in the future.
  • Work with the Dev Team members assigned to your cases and your Manager to ensure that the desired project outcome is achieved (e.g. be available to answer front end questions and provide quick testing if requested).
  • Communicate any issues clearly to the appropriate Dev Team member and / or your Manager (e.g. any issues that might cause deadlines to be missed).
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by your Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Analytical and detail oriented.

  • Remain cool under pressure and work well with others.
  • Know how to navigate multiple web applications simultaneously, be proficient with online meeting software and web conferencing tools, as well as word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Maintain focus despite interruptions, even in the most stressful of circumstances.
  • Be able to juggle many technical and administrative tasks, all with a sense of urgency, simultaneously and accurately.
  • Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable; in short, own your role entirely, while being open to critique, suggestions, and new ideas.
  • Have a knack for listening and be able to identify problem points and develop clear solutions.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • At least three years of QA experience with online platforms.
  • Experience working with multiple software applications, including Excel and SQL (or equivalent).
  • Proficient with online applications, including the use of web browsers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
