POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to: International B2C Sales Manager

Place of work: Remote (United States)

Purpose:

  • Operate successfully as part of the International Sales Team to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded

The Candidate

  • A proven record of driving sales growth, ideally in tourism or a related product
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Forward thinking and good problem-solving ability

Duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Generate new and repeat guest bookings
  • Service leads for direct and travel agent clients across all channels – phone, email, SMS, online chat
  • Conduct outgoing sales calls to established guests or prospects
  • Be an adventure travel expert and remain current on all product/regional knowledge for destinations sold
  • Be an expert with our CRM and reservation systems (Peak 15, ABM, HubSpot) and adapt to new technologies
  • Manage time effectively
  • Meet personal and team sales goals
  • Follow business plan objectives set by the Head of International Sales and Distribution
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The above reflects the main duties – in addition the International Adventure Travel Consultant will be expected to assist in any and all capacities deemed appropriate in running the day-to-day business. The International Adventure Travel Consultant will represent the company with clients and vendors (both inside and outside the industry), projecting a positive and quality-based image at every opportunity.

You’ll be an active participant of the Active Adventures and Austin Adventures Customer Journey Team. Given the introduction of the new team structure during a challenging time in the travel industry, you’ll need to be team and solutions focused and willing to help each other out with the aim of succeeding and exceeding targets.

On 1 July 2021, Active Adventures, based in Queenstown, New Zealand joined forces with award-winning Austin Adventures based in Montana, USA to create one global adventure travel company with two unique brands. Active Adventures and Austin Adventures have offices in Queenstown (NZ), Billings (Montana, USA) and operational bases in South America and Europe. The company employs 35 full-time staff plus a team of over 80 dedicated guides and service suppliers. The team is highly experienced and driven by their desire to share their own passion for adventure with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
