Hydrogen is key to the new green economy and leveraging the extensive pipeline infrastructure to transport and deliver hydrogen is key. This position requires a strong engineer with a degree in mechanical, chemical or materials engineering. The successful candidate will complement their educational credentials with proven industry experience in the application of hydrogen in storage, transportation, fuel cell, or other areas that would support a deep breadth of the hydrogen effects on materials, especially pipelines. A strong background in metallurgy and mechanical design of complex system assemblies is key to understanding and assessing how to leverage the vast existing pipeline infrastructure.

Open to remote working

  • Development of specifications for vendor designed / fabricated hardware with follow-on shop inspections of equipment, including piping, vessels, structures, etc.

  • Support and review manufacturing partners that provide materials compatible with hydrogen.

  • Design (pipelines systems) for compliance to various industry standards (US and possibly international).

  • Provide system or sub-system technical direction overseeing engineers, vendors or 3rd-party designers for compliance with industry practices and defined specifications. This includes component, sub-system or plant-level design, handling, installation, and testing
