Job Title: Director of Student Support Services Department

Job Description: The organization is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated individual who is capable of encouraging the development and implementation of Trauma Informed care, monitoring the direction and development of staff, evaluating the student body culture, and providing a safe and secure environment for the staff and students at the organization. It is imperative that the Director of Student Support Services be engulfed in the organizations basic philosophy and recognize the prevalence and pervasive impact of trauma in the lives of the youth we serve. Through a Trauma sensitive lens, the Director will be committed to providing a safe environment that supports the development of Trauma-Resistant skills and strategies, addresses the elevated risk factors associated with Trauma, builds resilience, and develops life- sustaining skills that support our students’ successful reintegration with the community.

Scheduled Hours & Days: The Director of Student Support Services Department schedule will be a full time, 5 days per week position with on call hours. The employee must attend mandatory organizational training when scheduled.

Degree/Credentials Required: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4 year college or university; Master’s Degree in related field preferred. 2+ years of management experience. Possess a valid driver’s license, be able to pass comprehensive background checks, and submit a drug test.

Essential Skills Required/Including but not limited to:

- ability to work in Trauma Informed Organization
- understanding of trauma and its effects on behavior
- ability to manage teams in a variety of settings
- demonstrate competencies in working with at risk youth
- ability to multitask and prioritize commitments
- submission and management of budgets

Additional skills that may be helpful:

- experience and knowledge of Crisis Intervention
- experience and knowledge of Emergency Procedures
- management of people and groups
- knowledge of juvenile court systems and juvenile justice

Starting Salary/Rate: Full-Time Salary position. Compensation commensurate with experience.

The position includes health insurance, dental insurance, prescription plan, 401k plan and paid vacation after the employee has completed a successful 90 day probationary period.
