Description

Are you driven to effect social change?

Are you passionate about the rights of people with disabilities to make their own choices and decisions on how to live their own lives?

The mission of SAU1 is to support the self advocacy of people with disabilities for positive impact in our communities and in people’s lives. SAU1 is a PA non-profit funded through grants, contracts, and donations to support its mission.

As Northeast PA Project Coordinator, you will be an agent of positive change at both the policy and personal level. You will support professional self advocates in your region and statewide to empower people with disabilities to know and speak up for their rights.

Join a great organization with wonderful people doing important work. SAU1 is a PA statewide nonprofit, with offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and Western PA. Learn more about SAU1 by going to www.sau1.org.

Most SAU1 employees work remotely at their home office, connecting through virtual platforms. As we better manage life with Covid, we are slowly returning to in-person work combined with virtual work for employees outside of our office locations. All employees earn paid time off and get paid holidays, and monthly stipends for work use of phone and data. Equipment essential to the job is provided. Full time staff get short- and long-term disability insurance, and subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance.

SAU1 is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate due race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, disability, age (age 40 or older), or genetic information.

SAU1 is committed to embracing diversity in all of its forms. Applicants from marginalized populations are encouraged to apply. To further SAU1’s belief in, and practice of, representation from all people, we especially encourage applications from folks with life experience in any one or more of the following areas: Deaf, Blind, LGBTQ+, Autistic, and Hispanic or Latino/a/x communities.
