Lone Star Neurology is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our growing team in North Texas! Lone Star Neurology is excited to participate in clinical research in all areas of neurology, with a focus on headaches, MS, and Alzheimer's.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum of Associate's degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline desired, Bachelor's degree preferred and 5 years of experience in a clinical or scientific-related discipline in neurology, cardiology, or internal medicine
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus

The Clinical Research Coordinator, under general supervision, coordinates activities related to patient screening and registration to open clinical trials, including but not limited to:

  • Working with team members, providers, and pharmaceutical companies (Sponsor) to ensure complete and accurate screening data is collected and processed
  • Working with the department to maximize Sponsor, referring provider, and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure site research quality through compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in study development by the review of flowsheets and the review and update of the Study Management Tool
  • Drawing blood, processing samples, obtaining EEGS and other clinical duties as necessary
  • Communicate information regarding new patients and screen fails to all staff
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all open trials and communicate routine updates to the referring provider regarding status of patient
  • Participate in evaluating Quality Assurance program findings for process improvement
  • Review, write, and provide input on relevant SOPs
  • Perform all delegated duties and responsibilities in compliance with SOPs

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
