Job description
This role leads SC Johnson’s eCommerce supply chain for Amazon operations, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers, direct to consumer (D2C), and multiple Value channel customers. The role is the primary liaison between the commercial team, supply chain cross-functional teams and the customers. The overall purpose of this role is to deploy a cost-effective, sustainable supply chain for SC Johnson (SCJ) that best delivers key metrics that include case fill, OTIF (on-time, in-full), event execution, reverse logistics, bracket pricing compliance, cost savings, and financial deduction management, while ensuring SCJ achieves preferred supplier status for our customers. eCommerce and Value customers includes: Amazon, Amazon Fresh, CPG.IO, Pharmapacks, PFS Web (D2C fulfillment provider), Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree.

  • Monitor Supply Chain scorecards (internals and externals) and apply course corrective actions as needed for assigned customers
  • Develop and deploy analysis for communication to the customer and key cross-functional areas to improve supply chain compliance and effectiveness
  • Partner to execute against strategic customer development opportunities and deliver Advantage Survey results
  • Identify ways to create flexible supply chain options/tools and resources that enable sales growth goals
  • Execute best route to market and cost-to serve supply chain processes for SCJ and our customers; accountable for the supply chain initiatives that drive improved effectiveness and cost savings
  • Collaborate with Global and Strategy teams for the development of improved future eCom capabilities
  • Drive our 3PL and D2C supply chain KPIs by partnering closely with our sales team and influencing change as needed
  • Unsaleable/Returns collaboration across assigned customers to drive profitable category growth
  • Coordinate with sales and customer fulfillment/Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as needed to improve ordering and shipment processes
  • Manage day to day issues with each assigned customer related to Supply Chain efficiency
  • Raise escalations in daily order to delivery cross-functional meetings
  • Main point of contact for all supply chain activities between sales, the customer, and SCJ supply chain; own supply chain representation in key customer meetings
  • Own workstreams and projects as assigned
  • Execute activities to back-up eCommerce and Value team members during temporary absences. This may require detailed customer level planning, using SCJ’s and the customer’s systems and analytical tools.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • University Degree and 5-6 years of relevant experience or advanced degree and 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Military experience considered in lieu of education requirement

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related business discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in Supply Chain, Account Management, or Shopper Insight Analytics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels of an organization
  • Proactive, decisional, goal and results oriented
  • An assertive yet collaborative and team-oriented leadership style with a sense of urgency
  • Skilled in problem solving, plan development and priority setting
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite, intermediate in Excel, BW, SAP, and ability to learn and utilize customer systems and data
  • Ability to represent Supply Chain internally and externally in a professional manner, both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to complete projects/tasks within assigned timeframe sometimes with competing priorities
  • Prior customer facing experience
  • Prior eCommerce experience especially Amazon
  • Strong Analytical skills (specifically able to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights)
  • Negotiation skills

Job Requirements:

  • Full-Time position
  • Open office environment
  • Some domestic travel required to other SC Johnson locations and to customer locations (~5%), may require over-night stays
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
