Job description

Major Roles and Responsibilities:
1.Updates and tracks payment data for Avangrid Networks Operating Companies. Analyzes data and prepares powerpoints/spreadsheets to be presented to Business Leaders.
2. Assisting Lead Analyst in reviewing, reconciling and entering PO’s and PR’s for Remittance Processing external vendors.
3. During RFP process will be assigned support role for providing necessary documentation and tracking of project.
4.. Reviews and reconciles remittance data regarding exceptions,
clarification, and inquiries from outside the department.
Verifies and assembles revenue and statistical metrics.
Makes customer account corrections..
Research payment clarifications and makes appropriate corrections. Follows
up with others to ensure customer accounts are accurately maintained.
Reviews and reconciles remittance data regarding exceptions
rejects and inquiries from outside the department.
Ensures that Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements are met.
Ensures that proper processing controls are in place and working
properly. Provides information to internal and external auditors.
Ensures that record retention requirements are met.
Maintains contacts with walk-in offices, Accounting, and Cash
Management, banks that we do business with, and other external vendors . Ensures that transactions are processed with the correct accounting.
5. Provides support of the company’s payment options programs: Payment agencies,
Direct Debit, wire transfers, and other electronic payments through third-party aggregators. Ensures that customer accounts are updated
accurately and on time. Research rejects and/or processing problems
and resolves them. Other payment options are expected to be added
online payments, credit card payments, and payments over the phone or web.

6. Supports Remittance Processing daily operations as necessary. This
could involve mail opening, keying, or filing as needed. Team player
willing to do what is necessary for the team's work to get completed.
Assist with the day-to-day operation when there is a need for assistance
meeting the daily operational goals. Therefore, excel and multi-tasking skills are also

7. Participates in various special projects that require remittance
business processing expertise. Project work may include business
requirements analysis, creating and performing test cases, product
implementation, and verification testing, and production support.

8. Develops and maintains documentation of Remittance Processing
functions. Oversees and reviews documentation drafted by others in the
department. These include day-to-day operations and disaster recovery
9. Develops and maintains training documentation for Representatives
Remittance Processing. Provides training to Representatives -
Remittance Processing in all areas of daily processing. (Mail opening,
running transports, all keying functions, filing).

Required Education:
High School Graduate. Associate's Degree is preferred.
Required Experience:
3-5 years of Remittance Processing experience
