Pay Range: $16.14 – 19.61 hourly

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

Are you passionate about solving complex issues? As NFM’s Administrative Specialist – Collections/Recovery you will be responsible for performing administrative support functions and reporting duties while maintaining confidentiality for assigned department.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

Administering processes within Collections and Credit Services include:
  • Department mail distribution
  • Updating address changes and corrections
  • Correspondence for new commercial accounts
  • Create Credit Decline Letters
  • Maintenance on NFM acct involving Insurance claims
  • Manual collection assignment changes and account closings
  • Process manual exceptions, stop letters and no call requests for collection accounts
  • Process Return checks for all regions and 3rd party accounts
  • Collection account review, apply money transfers for misapplied payments
  • Answering calls from the Queue line
  • Facilitating payments on debtors’ accounts via EBPP/USBANK Portal
Liaison between legal services, external customers, and NFM Correspond with attorney/collection agency include:
  • Attorney & Agency File Processing and prepare remittance from lawyer/agency for cashier postings. [Interest / AFCC debits/refunds].
  • Document retrieval
  • Reconciliation of accounts assigned to outside vendors
  • Prepares/codes/makes proper notations on customer accounts being forwarded to outside attorneys or collection agencies for customers who defaulted on payments.

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 years office/clerical experience
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Ongoing acceptable credit
  • Effectively gathers and analyzes information
  • Develops alternative solutions, with process improvement in mind
  • Ability to take independent actions and calculated risks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, credit and criminal background check
