The Administrative Specialist will support the development, implementation and strategic planning activities and initiatives in collaboration and support of the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; schedules and develops programs, projects, meetings and events; researches initiatives in identifying and updating evidence-based diversity, equity and inclusion practices; assists with recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups; manages and monitors requests; collects data and reports; utilizes university applications to gather data; identifies and communicates information on diversity, equity and inclusion professional development opportunities; develops, executes and implements communication activities including maintaining websites; assists in cultivating and maintaining a college wide learning-centered approach to diversity, equity and inclusion; create assessment tools and reports; cultivates and maintains college wide partnerships in service to the diversity, equity, and, inclusion mission of the college; manages the Buckeye Portal for Inclusive Portal.

Required: Six months of experience (600 hours of course work or training) in customer service or communications, including researching, analyzing & interpreting information; three months of experience (300 hours of course work) in budgeting.

Desired: Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; experience in program planning and administration; works with university applications such as DocuSign, and Workday is desired; works in a team environment, often on tight deadlines. attention to detail and accuracy essential. requires flexibility and a willingness to perform other reasonable duties as requested, including the ability to come in early and stay late and/or work a day on the weekend as needed. Exceptional project management and facilitation skills; strong computer and technical skills; demonstrated passion for supporting diverse populations and a spirit of inclusive excellence; highly organized; two or more years experience providing administrative experience to senior leadership; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The target hiring range for this position is $22.16 - $29.57 hourly.
